Heat Treatment for My Knees

Looks scary huh? The machine emits a red light, it's rather warm in a nice toasty kinda way and not like burning human meat. Mom says this machine is good for blood circulation, muscle cramps and osteoarthritis.

How To Pick Up Women

I'm Hungry

It's really early in the morning and I should be fast asleep but thanks to certain distractions (twitter and iPhone games), I'm awake and hungry. If you are wondering whether I starved myself by not having dinner... You are so wrong.

While I do need to shed some KGs, I never believe in skipping meals. True, if you don't eat you can lose weight, but you'll probably die from some eating disorder and won't be able to enjoy your skinniness. I prefer a more holistic way of getting trim - exercise, healthy food and yoga. I said that I prefer, but not neccesarily am I doing it. Haha. It's always easier to preach and not practice. *peace*

Anyway here's two pictures of my dinner:

New Word

Thanks to KY, I read this article on Practising in Perak and I learnt a new word.

cock-a-hoop
According to answers.com, cock-a-hoop means:
  1. Being in a state of boastful elation or exultation.
  2. Being askew.

Now I will try to use this new word effectively.

I was damn cock-a-hoop because my guinea pig, Milk came up tops in the recent 'Fattest Guinea Pig' Contest.

Ergh. Wtf. Doesn't sound quite right.

S Factor - Kay Kay Won!

OK.
So, sue me. I watch this :P

I Feel Whole Again

I received a present last night. It's even better than the first time around because this time, I know just how much I will love and appreciate it. I promise to be extra extra careful. Thank you, Vic.

Dinner with the Moes and Lauren the Cutest Baby

Last Friday, we had dinner with the Moes and their precious 'sweetiepie' Lauren. I'm sure some of you would have already seen her on my blog, here and here. She's grown quite a bit and is almost one and half years old. She can walk now and we're waiting for her to start talking. :D

Here are some pictures of Lauren having her dinner before we head out for ours.

I had 'flashed' her too many times with the camera and she got pissed. Checkout her glare below:

Uncle Victor and Baby Lauren. Hmmph. She prefers Uncle Victor over ME!!!!

After Lauren was done with her dinner, we headed out to Buonasera in SS2 (right next to Yippie Cup) for some grub. The caesar salad was fantastic as usual.
However, the pizza was too dry and sadly overcooked. SIGH!

The fettuccine carbonara tasted OK, but we were expecting better.

The meat platter was disappointing. The parma ham tasted a bit off from its usual 'melt-in-the-mouth-yumminess'.
Also, the tiramisu did not stand out. The liquor was overly strong and the espresso or coffee was overpowered by it. I guess, the only thing good is the salad?

Mother's Day Japo Treat

For Mother's Day, the family went to Agefuku in Taipan, USJ. I know, the restaurant name does sounds like... Ahhh geh, fooook you! Anyway, I've never tried the 'fine dining' restaurant upstairs as the only other time that I've been here was for the jap fast food downstairs, which honestly wasn't too good. So, I was rather skeptical about how my eating experience would turn out and and true enough... having little expectation does allow for a nice surprise when the food turns out to be good.

My First Oyster!
I purposely chose a cheese baked one summore, to mask the strong taste and while the cheese was initially overpowering, it is no match for the gooey slimy oyster. I do not enjoy eating oysters and I will never. Give me scallops, anytime!

Bro eating cold soba.

Check out the photo on the right. See those black dots? HAHA. Scary.
Here's some of the stuff we stuffed ourselves with:
Dad enjoying his oyster (yuck!)

Dad and MomA collection of silly faces
Do we look alike? Checkout my tan! :D So happy.
Dessert!
We love you Mum!

Why Is It So Bloody Hot?!

wtf. the hellish heat is unbearable. I feel like I've been sweating the whole damn day. Sigh. It is days like this that I wish I were by the beach.

The Kickboard Kicks Ass

It does as it is not easy trying to swim with using only your legs. Well, perhaps... super fit Elaine can manage that... but for normal people like myself, Vic and KY... it is a struggle.

Granted, it does look simple. Get in the pool. Hold the board in front of you, stretch out your arms and start kicking. Yeah. Until you realise that you aren't moving and that in order for you to actually do laps in the pool, you gotta be kicking real hard with all your might. Haha. My legs cramped after a while, so I just used the board to stay afloat. KY's had leg cramps twice trying to master the kickboard.

And Vic.. well.. let's say.. he 'humped' the board trying to do Butterfly Kicks (from the Butterfly Stroke).

Here's what a Butterfly Kick looks like:

And according to eHow.com, a Butterfly Kick is to "kick your legs up and down once in a whipping motion generating from the hips and bending at the knees, as if you were a dolphin."

So, imagine.. trying to do a Butterfly Kick with in water with a kickboard minus the hand movements. Fugging hilarious.

Anyway, I read somewhere that doing Butterfly Kicks with a kickboard helps to work the ab muscles.

My Kickboard!

I guess it is kinda weird that I can't swim, but I like being in water. Anyway, here are pictures of my new kickboard.

I wanted to get one like this:

But, instead I got a lame-ass looking one:

For almost half the price! The cool looking one (in pink!!!) cost almost RM50 and this.. is so much cheaper. Times are bad and I can't splurge. :(
And to add on to the insult.... this is obviously meant for a child!!! Note the words circled in yellow. Sniff.

Look What Came in the Mail Today!!!

I am no longer a virgin - an online shopping one, that is! :P

After years of skepticism, I finally gave in and decided to try. My maiden attempt at e-shopping was a good one. I have been receiving newsletters from Shopaholics Unite! for quite a while now and I've always thought that they have some pretty stuff there.
Last Wednesday, I could resist no longer and decided to make a purchase! I emailed the blogshop owner, Leng and we continued to email back and forth checking the availability of the stuff I wanted and so on. I banked in the money late Wednesday and received a pleasant surprise package today (a bleak Monday). I love getting surprises in the form of chocolates, flowers, clothes, jewellery, etc. *HINTvicHINT*
The clothes look good and Leng had even included in the package the amount of money I had accidentally overpaid.
Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free experience. Would definitely be going back for more!

I Cried Last Night...

I'm really upset.

Because of my carelessness, I lost something that I love.

I would take a while for this feeling to go away. Let me mourn.

R.I.P.I., I'll always love you! ALWAYS!

Fei Por Chicken Rice, Jalan Pudu

Fat Lady Chicken Rice, the literal translation of the above. Interesting name. During dinner I kept looking around for the fat lady. No fat lady. Instead, there's a tall skinny man who took our order. Maybe it should be called Tall Skinny Man Chicken Rice (Gou Sau Lou Kai Fan). Umm. No, that doesn't sound quite right. We'll stick to Fat Lady.

Anyway, the chicken here is pretty fat and tender. We had a succulent piece of white chicken breast (RM3.50) and two bowls of steaming hot 'kai see hor fun' (RM5.50 each). I enjoyed my noodles, but I do wish the prawns did not have that 'fishy' taste.

This place is good for a late night after clubbing meal. It opens till 4 AM and it's competitor next door Kok Kok Chicken Rice opens till 4.30 AM.

Pork Noodles, Jalan Mesui, KL

Porky lunch. It is so damned hot today. I'm still sweating!

KY gives a thumbs up to the char siew at the new chicken rice shop there.

Goodbye KL lunch kaki Erik! We will miss your 'batu api' ways.

Although Pork Noodles is always a great meal... I do not recommend this restaurant on a hot day! It is stuffy and the heat is sweltering! Urgh.
RM4.20 for a small bowl of pork noodles. I forgot the name of the restaurant but its a few doors down from Palate Palatte.
P/S: Just my shit luck. I got 'sweat' on today. Literally. By the uncle who takes orders for drinks. He was standing next to me taking the orders from KY and Erik, so when it was my turn, I looked up at him and a drop of sweat (from him) landed on my face. SO NOT COOL! urgh. FML!

Soong Kee Best Beef Ball Noodles

In Jalan Silang, KL there's this famous shop that has been serving beef ball noodles for many many years.

Now, I won't go around proclaiming that this is the best in town for fear it will start a beef ball brawl among the die hard lovers of this tasty dish. Soong Kee is certainly among my favourite eats and it's really worth a visit because you will surely be back for more!

This shop is also air conditioned, great for those who want to indulge in street food minus the drops of sweat. :)

Big bowl of noodles, RM5
Bowl of beef balls, RM7

I Tore My Shirt Today

No, I wasn't because I was too fat.

It wasn't because I was doing some kinky strip tease either.

This rather new shirt (worn only once) that I bought from Elements in Pavilion... is made from lousy crap material. Here's a pic of me in it. My first and LAST time wearing the shirt:

Another reason to shop, now!
