Merry Christmas!

Okay, I am a wee bit early... but it is hard to not to be in the holiday mood... when you are on holiday! I am off till 2009! Woohoo! Right now, I'm in Ing's place in Singapore using LingXiao's pc. I can't wait to go out and play. :)

A Belly Good Time!

Ever since Ming told me about this place, I've been dying to go and stuff my face silly with pork and over the weekend, I did! :D I shall let the photos tantalise and their descriptions you!

The friends I had dinner with:

Mr James "Random" Chong
Ms Gan "Shy la, don't take my picture" Yen Kuan

Mr Victor "Me man. Me eat pork" Chin

Awww...

Sorry, I got carried away with all the new brushes I downloaded :P

Ooo... that looks exotic!

We had dinner at... Bored of the same old cuisine- Japanese, Western or Chinese... we opted for Tarbush because the restaurant in Sunway Pyramid looked pretty damned good.

Lamb Briyani - Awesome! I would definitely go back for more of this

The mixed platter

Hummus, which tasted somewhat weird @.@

Salad with some yummy crispy brown thing

Adele and Von were so colour coordinated that night

Vic and I were also 'stripey'

Towards the end of the night, Von did something really kinky to Adele. She pulled out Adele's ribbon from her shorts (not a ribbon holding her pants up, but some stylo item) and looped it around her neck.

The thing thing we knew...
Adele is a Christmas present! LOL!
A pretty one too!

We also spent some time teaching Vic how to smile with or without teeth. I may not get a XMAS present for putting these photos up, but heck! Be careful of the girl with the camera!

Grandma's Bday

We celebrated Grandma's birthday last week at Loong Foong in SS25, PJ. The place is not too bad, the food tasty and the price cheap!

Ginseng Chicken Soup

Some fish that was overcooked

German Pork Knuckles.. Good one!

Oat Prawns

Long Life Noodles
Cannot cut the noodles, ok! I remember Uncle H cutting the noodles once and Grandma got angry. Apparently, cutting the noodles signifies that the birthday person will die soon or sooner. So, when you want to take a portion, you have to lift the noodles up high and skillfully manoeuvre it onto your plate.

Don makes the bestest butter cakes ever! Look at the one he made for Grans.. So pretty right?
And it tastes, even better!

For butter cakes, wedding cakes or any cakes... call Don at 016-293 8291!!!

Cute pao

We love you Mama!

My pretty (vain) cousin! Oh she will so KILL me when she sees this!
Muahahaha!

I Want To Go To The Beach

Over the weekend, I caught some scenes of Leo DiCap's movie in 2000, The Beach and I've been dreaming of lazing by the beach with the the sand under my feet. And when it gets too hot, I want to trip of my clothes (swimwear remaining) and jump into the crystal clear waters. It sure sounds like paradise considering the fact that I spend almost everyday in the concrete jungle of KL.

I want to finally pick up the courage to snorkel and one day go diving. I want to get tanned. I want to sip a mojito (I don't like pina coladas) and just chill. I want to be a beach bum. Thankfully, I have in store for 2009 a beach holiday to Perhentian (the one that inspired my ''Fit for Perhentian 2009'' motto) and am in the midst of planning for another one with Lin. We were thinking of hitting the islands in mid-Feb, but it is the end of the monsoon season. Other options could be Pangkor or Langkawi, but I've already been to both. Oh well, planning in progress. :)

Makeup... it's cheaper than therapy!

I was feeling especially vain in November and decided to beautify myself and bought some new makeup products. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as an ugly woman, just a lazy one. So, those of you griping about your looks... go out there and do something. Go gym, go diet, go dress better or.. just buy makeup.

My first buy:

Kate eyeshadow. The particular set of colours came highly recommended by Sook Ting. She says this is her must-have makeup bring along when on holiday. My verdict: I love how the smokey eyed look is so easy to create with this product. There's a lot of glitter here so its perfect for a glam evening, but you can also tone it down and use it for the day.

Next:

Eye shadow by Majolica Majorca. One of the newest cosmetic brands to hit Malaysia. I was keen to try this eyeshadow out as it has some special 'trick on' powder that creates some sorta 3D effect on your eyes. My verdict: I don't really see how special the 'trick on' powder really is. After application, according to the manual... it pretty much looks like any other eyeshadow. Despite it all, the blending of the pink eyeshadow with the brown turns out pretty good. The eyeshadow is also really soft.

The last (for the year!):

Benefit's posietint!

I am a Benefit Fan! My verdict: posietint is not only easy to use, but it actually lasts throughout the day.  I often find that my blusher comes off  roughly after lunchtime, but posietint lasts till the night. I also love the dual function - blusher and lip  tint. That's value for the Ringgit!

Well, as the saying goes.. if the shoe fits, buy the other one.. So I bought the boi~ing industrial strength concealer! Bye bye dark circles!

From its description on the website, it is supposed to do this:

You name it, boi-ing hides it! This industrial-strength concealer camouflages dark circles, shadows & discoloration for a seamless, natural-looking finish without creasing or fading. It's the concealer that goes the distance.

My verdict: I'm not sure how terror is this concealer is, but so far.. it covers up pretty OK.. so did all the other concealers that I've used. Hmm.. I will test it out further.
